Privacy policy

You can read every lyrics page without an account. We only store personal data when you create an account or use account features.

What we store

Account details: your name, email address and profile picture. If you sign up with email, we store a salted hash of your password, never the password itself. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email and picture from them.
Your activity: songs you save or like, and comments you post. Comments are public and shown with your name and picture; likes, saves and points are shown on the leaderboard.
Sign-in cookie: a cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. We store only a hashed copy of it.
View counts: we count page views per song. These counts are not linked to you.

We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell your data.

Cloudflare hosts the site and its database.
Google Fonts serves the site's fonts.
Google and GitHub handle sign-in if you choose those options.
Song artwork is loaded from the image hosts listed in our song data, and default profile pictures come from ui-avatars.com.

These services may receive your IP address when your browser loads content from them.

You can delete your comments and remove likes and saves at any time from the site. Signing out ends your session immediately.
